We congratulate Empa’s Dr. Loghman Jamilpanah and his co-authors at IIT and UWE, and in Iran, for the publication of their manuscript “Proposing magnetoimpedance effect for neuromorphic computing” in Scientific Reports, a journal of the Nature Publishing House.

Neuromoprhic computing is an essential topic towards realization of the soft liquid robot in COgITOR. The magnetoimpedance effect is not yet really established for neuromorphic computing. Dr. Jamialpanah was fully funded in the COgITOR project when working on this paper, before he won a competition at Empa for internal funding for his own project, which is on massive data storage by magnetic skyrmions.
