COgITOR celebrates the recognition of Noushin Raeisi Kheirabadi

COgITOR celebrates the recognition of Noushin Raeisi Kheirabadi, who has been awarded a Highly Commended distinction at the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science UK & Ireland Young Talent Awards – one of the most competitive national programmes supporting outstanding women researchers.

The finalists’ ceremony took place on 21 January 2026 at the Speaker’s House, House of Commons (London), in the presence of the Speaker of the House, Members of Parliament, the French Ambassador, and representatives of the Royal Society.

Noushin’s research aligns closely with COgITOR’s vision of rethinking computation beyond conventional paradigms. Her work explores how biodegradable waste can be transformed into intelligent computing materials, opening pathways toward sustainable, nature-inspired alternatives to silicon-based technologies.

This recognition highlights not only the scientific excellence of her research, but also the growing importance of sustainability-driven and material-based approaches to the future of computing – core principles at the heart of COgITOR.

We warmly congratulate Noushin on this well-deserved achievement.
